The road has been allowed to deteriorate badly as it nears the town, one suspects to favor the boating concession, which ferries tourists and supplies from Puerto Vallarta to the north. There are numerous small hotels and open-air restaurants on the wide beach. This side of Cabo Corrientes, the peninsula that juts into the Pacific south of Puerto Vallarta, is the wet side, and the tropical forest is green and dense even in the dry
